Trouw Nutrition Appoints Middle East Vice President, Area Manager

With effect from January 2008, Trouw Nutrition Hifeed B.V. has strengthened her presence in the Middle East by extending her sales team.

In addition, feed industry and farms in the Middle East will be served with Trouw Nutrition’s new Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Farm (B2F) product portfolios and services.

Dr Ashraf Farah has been appointed as Vice President Middle East. He will be responsible for the Trouw Nutrition Business-to-Business (B2B) activities in the Middle East countries, focussing on Saudi, Syria, UAE,
Israel, Lebanon, Cyprus, Jordan, Iran and Pakistan.

The B2B product portfolio for the region includes a broad product range of proven and consistent quality, including Premixes and Feed Additives like Fylax®, Fysal®, Selacid® -Green Growth, Selko®-pH, Optimin®,
Novasil™ Plus and Fibosel®. Dr Farah will provide sales support for these products in other countries in the region as well. He holds a PhD in poultry diseases, and has a recognized experience in the poultry business. Dr Farah has worked for several multinational companies. His latest position was that of Managing Director Selko Mid-East, based in Cyprus, from where he will continue to work. Dr Farah reports to Mr Richard Maatman, General Manager of Trouw Nutrition Hifeed.

Mrs Nahed Farah has also joined Trouw Nutrition Hifeed from Selko B.V. to support in Customer Service, Marketing and Technical services for the entire Middle East area.

Mr Roelof van de Fliert, area manager, will be responsible for the Trouw Nutrition Business-to-Farm (B2F) activities in the Middle East, focussing on the countries Yemen, Sudan, Iran, Kuwait, Jordan and Iraq.

Mr Van de Fliert will bring to the Middle East market a full range of B2F nutritional products, particularly Concentrates, Calf Milk Replacers, Young Animal Feeds and Farm Minerals. He will also provide sales support
for these products in other countries in the region. Mr Roelof van de Fliert comments: “I look forward to continue the good relation I already have with the people in my area and to making new friends in the
countries that have been added”.

Mr Van de Fliert will continue to report to Mr Maatman.

“With this extension, we have created an even stronger sales and product support team focussing on the different market needs in this region. By creating tailored Business-to-Business and Business-to-Farm product
portfolios and services, we will be able to serve our customers in a better way”,
according to Mr Richard Maatman. He further adds: “Our aim is to make the products and knowledge of Trouw Nutrition, a 77-years old
global leader in animal nutrition, available to more customers in the Middle East. We are committed to be the global key to their local success”.
