Novus International Inc. has formed a new company to produce products for the equine, canine and human health markets.

The new company is called Arenus and it will begin to produce and market products in the United States this year.

"Arenus supports the Novus vision to help feed the world affordable, wholesome food by building upon its research and understanding of animal health and nutrition.

Arenus will bring the Novus approach of improving health through nutrition to the equine, pet and human markets,"
Novus CEO Thad Simons said in a statement.

Horse feed is first

Arenus' first product is Steadfast Equine dietary supplement, which is designed to help support and maintain horses' joints, bones, hooves connective tissues, skin and coat.

St. Louis, Missouri-based Novus International, Inc. provides nutrition and health solutions for the animal feed and health industries. It serves customers in more than 80 countries around the world.

Because Arenus is owned by Novus, a nearly $1 billion global animal health and nutrition company, it has the manufacturing technology, assets, experience and scale necessary to offer innovative nutritional products and information to equine and companion animal enthusiasts.

In addition, Arenus benefits from Novus's network of nearly fifty Ph.D. and Masters level animal nutritionists, over 25 veterinarians, and a multitude of other affiliated scientists from across the globe.

Research based

"Our products are founded in solid science - over 16 years of research in animal health and nutrition - with the input of respected human nutritionists, veterinarians and other accredited professionals," said Jeremy Moore, General Manager of Arenus.

"We utilize data, not just stories, to evaluate ingredients and finished formulations. We validate the safety, efficacy, and consistency of our ingredients and finished products through relevant research and analyses."
