The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has opened registration for its 50th Liquid Feed Symposium, being held Sept. 7-9, in Chicago, Ill. Attendees will network and learn about the history of legislation and regulations that affect liquid feed, the value of liquid feed supplements in cattle diets, new information on cattle and antibiotic resistance, and much more.
“While our liquid feed members could not meet last year, that does not mean they weren’t busy, living up to their status as essential workers,” said Paul Davis, Ph.D., AFIA’s director of quality, animal food safety and education. “We are thrilled to bring everyone back together and celebrate 50 years of this specialized industry.”
Hosted by the AFIA’s Liquid Feed Committee, the symposium focuses on current issues, growth, education and development specifically geared toward the liquid feed industry. The largest and longest-running event of its kind, it is designed to appeal to all segments of the liquid feed industry, including manufacturers, nutritionists, equipment manufacturers, sales and marketing, and additional industry support companies.
In addition, the AFIA inducts a leader in the liquid feed industry into the Liquid Feed Hall of Fame each year at the symposium. The Liquid Feed Hall of Fame recognizes and honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the science and growth of the liquid feed industry.
Early-bird registration goes until July 5. More information on the Liquid Feed Symposium, including registration, the agenda, location information, the AFIA’s safety protocols and cancellation policies, can be found on the event’s website at afia.org/LFS2021.
