The Recent Advances in Animal Nutrition – Australia conference (25-27 October) is an event at which experts from the scientific community and leaders in industry have gathered for the past 40 years to discuss issues of importance to animal nutrition.
The call for abstracts is now open and we welcome you to submit an abstract for consideration by our RAAN-A committee.
Abstracts will be reviewed by our committee, and if deemed suitable for this conference, will be edited, published online at the website of Animal Production Science and included in a booklet for distribution at the event. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 July 2017.
Short presentations will take the form of a 5-minute address using a maximum of four Powerpoint slides, the contents of which should show: Why the study was done (Slide 1), How the study was done (Slide 2), What the results of the study were (Slide 3) and What was concluded from the results (Slide 4). Authors of short presentations are encouraged to bring posters of their presentations, which will be displayed after the short presentation session to facilitate further discussion.
Plenary speakers are encouraged to speculate on future trends and to explore new ideas, particularly across species and disciplines.
This conference is unique in Australia in facilitating interaction between the commercial and research sectors of the animal nutrition community and in promoting discussion and debate on recent advances in animal nutrition.
The conference is hosted by the School of Environmental and Rural Science of the University of New England, Armidale and will take place at the School of Education on the university campus.
