The American Feed Industry Association's Liquid Feed Committee has announced that Dr. R. Hollis Klett, president of XF Enterprises Inc., is the 2006 Liquid Feed Hall of Fame winner.
Klett is a leading expert in liquid suspension technology and application of feedyard diets and has devoted his career to the development and research of liquid supplements.
The award was presented at the group's annual symposium in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Dr. R. Hollis Klett conducted some of his first research projects while he was a faculty member at Louisiana State University. He recognized early in his career the values of liquid supplementation for dairy and beef cattle and continued with countless research projects over the years while on the faculty of Louisiana State University, Texas A&M University, and Texas Tech University.
As President of XF Enterprises, Inc., he started Anipro/Xtraformance Feeds, a national liquid range supplement company. Under his direction and guidance, XF Enterprises, Inc. has expanded its liquid presence and philosophy to Australia and Brazil.
Always an educator at heart, Dr. Klett has aggressively shared his knowledge where ever possible and continues to work as a consulting nutritionist. He has served on the Liquid Feed Committee and served as Chairman of that committee in 2001/2002. He currently serves as an advisor in the development of the new Liquid Feed Handbook.
