Perstorp launches new acidifier: ProPhorce® AC 250

In animal nutrition acidifiers are being used for their various beneficial effects; reduction of the feed buffer capacity, inhibition of pathogenic bacteria and improvement of nutrient digestibility. It has been known for quite some time that a positive dietary electrolyte balance (DEB) enhances the growth rate of animals and that it improves the feed conversion rate. The DEB- and bacterial inhibiting effect are united in ProPhorce^® AC 250, which boosts animal performance.

 In-vitro trials have shown that ProPhorce^® AC 250 inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria such as E.Coli and Salmonella. In-vivo research has shown that the use of ProPhorce^® AC 250 improves the feed conversion and growth rate in piglets. These results lead us to believe that ProPhorce^® AC 250 has high potential as a cost-effective alternative for premix manufacturers and feed mills using solid acidifiers.
