Australia gets ready for Equitana 2007

Since 1999, EQUITANA has presented a comprehensive and dynamic program featuring world class Competition, a major Exhibition, a diverse Education program and spectacular equine Entertainment.

EQUITANA Asia Pacific (EAP) will transform the Melbourne Showgrounds into a horse lover’s paradise, featuring an equine expo, educational sessions, entertainment and competitions, on November 15 - 18. EAP proudly boasts cattle, bulls, over 1,000 horses, over 250 exhibitors, Olympic gold medallists, world-renowned educators and equine performers all under one roof.

From its inaugural launch in 1999, EAP continues to be Australia’s most comprehensive and dynamic equine event attracting in excess of 50,000 visitors per event with a amazing 40.5% of attendees coming from outside Victoria.

EQUITANA also continues to bring the entire equine community together in an event that represents all sectors of the industry making Melbourne a ‘must be’ place on the national and international equine calendar in November for the equine industry.

Specialist clinics are a very popular component of the education program at EQUITANA Asia Pacific. There are four clinics available at this year's event that will be presented by high profile international and Australian presenters:

* Pat & Linda Parelli Learn the Secrets to Success with Horses - Thursday 15th November 2007 Grand Pavilion, 6pm

* "The Magic of Performance is the Education" - Thursday 15th November 2007 Grand Pavilion, 10am

Education covers all aspects of the Equine science and is one of EQUITANA Asia Pacific’s most popular aspects. The education program gets bigger and better at the Melbourne Showgrounds, a new home to showcase a number of specialised clinics and educational sessions featuring world class presenters, trainers and competitors. A range of demonstration arenas, classrooms and a purpose build auditorium offers a non-stop program for all four days of the show.

EQUITANA Asia Pacific 2007 will see the introduction of the EQUITANA Performance Sale where breeders will have a direct interface with the equine buying public. This auction enables visitors to browse and buy from the best studs from around Australia all in one convenient location.

EQUITANA will also include The Way of the Horse Competition, a highly successful and fascinating competition where 3 new contestants will demonstrate their methods of connecting with an unbroken horse over two days.

The ‘Breeders Village’ will be a unique opportunity for Breeders, Stud Books and Breed Associations to have a direct interface with the public and showcase their stallions and off spring to promote the breed. This featured area offers the public the opportunity to learn about particular breeds and talk to experts about all the aspects of breeding and raising young horses.
