The use of genomic information in genetic evaluation has brought about revolutionary change in dairy cattle selection. Genomic evaluations increase the accuracy of genetic evaluations and have the potential to rapidly increase the rate of genetic improvement in many traits. Their use is especially effective where there is limited information such as with females and young bulls, and with traits o...
Good article about dairy genomic selection. well, genomic science has a very important role in improvement of animal genomics (black box). but my question is how we use this sciences in developing countries, where record system is still not good and second part of my question is in developing countries small herd size (2-4) animals per house. how we can exploit genomics of fit animals for production.
