High consumption of urea and melamine / cyanuric acid and milk?

Published: November 21, 2014

Dear members,

One question since I can not find any information about this topic. I think the answer is no but I have no arguments. Let´s take as example that intentionally or not, urea is added into raw material ot that a producer doesn´t mix the added urea properly (in pure form or optigen) in the ration and cows absorve higher urea levels than recommended. Could the urea suffer a transformation into melamine or cyanuric acid (since the input of the melamine is the urea)? If yes, could it be found in milk? I work in Indonesia and this is a country where there could be problems of non homogenous mixtures and excess of product when one is cheaper than others.

I would really appreciate your contribution to this topic.

Best regards,

Laurent
