Cuba will again become, from the 18th to the 20th of June, 2014, the venue of the Central American and Caribbean family of poultry farmers for the celebration, along with those of other countries of the world, of the XXIII Congress of Poultry Farming of Central America and the Caribbean. The largest of the Caribbean islands thus reinstates its capacity as host of important events, as it already did in 2002 and again in 2009, during the XXI Congress of Latin American Poultry Farming.
Our capital, Havana, proudly reaches this very same year the 495th anniversary of its foundation, and ratifies it with the words that one of its most renowned poets, Dulce María Loynaz, devoted to this city in one of her poems: … “You are, par excellence, the very cordial, the most gentle. You offer yourself, aromatic and gracious as a cup of coffee…” Havana will put on again its gala clothes and open its doors to the participants that may decide to visit us.
The Federation of Poultry Farmers of Central America and the Caribbean and the Cuban Society of Poultry Producers of the Cuban Association of Animal Production, in conjunction with a Cuban group of organizations and enterprises, are preparing to offer their most considerate attention, hospitality and courtesy to make this a memorable event to all those visitors who will arrive for that purpose to the former Villa de San Cristóbal de la Habana, which has all the necessary service infrastructure and constitutes the plaza par excellence for the realization of any format of fairs and motivating trips.
From this instant we are prepared to receive you and continue retracing the magic of our past congresses, outstanding for the ample participation, up to date information and unity of a sector evermore identified by its commitment with the alimentary security for our peoples.
You will all be welcome!
Yours most truly,
Organizing Committee
