The great success of POULTRY INDIA 2013 was the ultimate testimony of vibrant Indian economy.

EAC members Presidents of all major poultry associations in India declared dates for the 8th edition as 26th, 27th, & 28th November 2014.
Hon'ble Shri N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh assured that the state government would extend all possible help to the poultry industry which is already supporting an additional income to farmers. The state government has already removed tax on eggs and chicken, the Chief Minister confirmed. The Chief Guest assured poultry farmers that power tariff for trouble hit poultry sector would be reduced over by 50 percent soon. Presently the state Government is charging Rs. Six per unit from poultry industry which will come down to Rs.2.80 per unit.
Chief Minister added, "My government is committed for the development of whole livestock sector of Animal husbandry Department including Poultry, Diary, Aquaculture, Sericulture and Horticulture." Elaborating state GDP Animal Husbandry's contribution, the CM was optimistic and said that in the coming years' period it would cross the proposed targets and turnover of Dairy and Poultry would be doubled in that period. Praising the annual budget provided by Government of Andhra Pradesh which was 195 crores a few years back in the year 2005 has increased to 1000 crores. "The allocation for agriculture and other related sectors was enhanced from Rs.875 crore in the year 2005 to Rs.5,556 crore now," the CM stated.
While praising the poultry industry with the venue, the CM said, "Poultry function of Poultry India at Hitex city is already reached in Hi-Tech, otherwise it would have not reached to the place, where it is now. To survive in this poultry industry, the cost effective measures should be taken by our farmers." Speaking on dignity, the Chief Minister was of the view that the farmer, who provides food to human being, should have his head high. Quoting Andhra Pradesh as number one state in the country in poultry production and even the state was number one in aqua sector last year and he was hopeful to make the state in milk production from number two to one in this year.
"It is a homecoming for me while standing in front of poultry people and farmers." This was stated by the Information & Technology Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shree Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who congratulated organizers on successfully conducting 7th Edition of Poultry India as world's top class Exhibition. "No more days to queue yourself for other shows in the world as we feel World?s one of the best poultry expo is here in Hyderabad." The IT Minister was of the view that earlier people used to visit International Poultry Shows every year, which has been diverted to India, as they got latest information, updates of new technology and above all the relevant information required for their up-gradation of the poultry industry.
The IT Minister appreciated that farmers of the State were taking lead in the country and expressed that he is also playing his role in poultry development for the last 3 decades. He appealed that the government should extend the Agriculture Status to the poultry industry too. "Hyderabad and Poultry India Show, both are synonymous and that is why the Organizers of the show conducted seven shows which are going unabated." The minister said and added that per capita consumption of eggs had been increased. But still miles to go to catch the world figure of 188 as against our 65 to 70 eggs.
Stressing on the by-product of poultry, which could be used by the industry people to prepare manure at no cost, Shree Ponnala Lakshmaiah called upon the industry people to come forward and handle 4.6 million tons of poultry litter and convert that into alternative fertilizer and save foreign exchange to the tune of millions of rupees. The IT Minister further said, "I am a part of this event since many years. I feel glad to be here as Hyderabad being a very good centre for the poultry. The area of exhibition is also expanding year after year as the growth rate is increasing. Now we proclaim that we have shown eight to nine percent growth in this industry. We depend mainly on agriculture, rural sector & this economy contributes a lot to the country and this vast majority shown by the Indian economy play a vital role in terms of growth."
Unlike other exhibitions in India, POULTRY INDIA 2013 witnessed the real fulfillment & approval from 25240 genuine business visitors & 220 exhibitors.
This year there were 50% more visitors from all corners of India & neighboring countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Nepal. It was also heartening to see many visitors from Middle East, African continent & CIS countries.
