We invite you to attend PIX2014, the Australasian Milling Conference (AMC) and the AVPA Scientific Meeting to be held from Sunday 25 to Thursday 29 May 2014 at the international standard Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach, Queensland. PIX is now recognised as the Premier Australian Poultry Industry Conference and Trade Exhibition.
We are again happy to combine with the Australasian Milling Conference, bringing delegates from the stockfeed and flour milling industries together. As a result, we anticipate that over 1300 delegates will attend. We will also be welcoming delegates from the nearby Asia Pacific Region, including New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Asia and Fiji.
PIX/AMC 2014 includes the industry’s largest, most extensive trade exhibition in Australia, an exciting social program and numerous workshops, including our highly successful full-day Litter Management Workshop for producers and technical staff alike. The comprehensive, world-class PIX lecture program continues for two days, filled with the latest in innovation and information, with experts from both Australia and overseas.
The program is streamed into chicken meat and egg production, including free range, so there will be topics of interest for each and every delegate. Workshops on numerous special interest areas, including hatchery, breeders, veterinary advisors, nutritional advisors and litter management will also be on offer. For the more technically minded, the Australasian Veterinary Poultry Association (AVPA) will be holding a scientific meeting in conjunction with PIX. All delegates are invited to this meeting.
The AMC technical program addresses the theme ‘Feed & Food In the Asian century’. A mix of both international and local speakers will cover all aspects of feed and cereal milling. Sessions will include areas such as domestic and export food demand, supermarket supply chain requirements, quality and sustainability, managing risks in milling, meeting agricultural graduate and employee requirements and technological advances in milling.
At PIX/AMC 2014, the Trade Show will be bigger and better than ever before, with over 6300m2 of floor space, allowing over 300 trade booths to demonstrate their latest products and equipment in comfort. In fact, the trade show has come to be seen as a must-do event for suppliers to the poultry, stockfeed and milling industries.
Let’s not forget the social side of PIX/AMC 2014. It’s a great chance for you to catch up with old friends and acquaintances, meet new ones and enjoy the hospitality that the 2014 conference and Queensland’s Gold Coast have to offer.
