Why Attend?
The Official Veterinarian Conference is a unique event held for the Official Veterinarian (OV) community. Run in association with APHA (Animal & Plant Health Agency), lectures will be delivered by a mix of APHA expert vets and scientists, plus respected private veterinary practitioners.
The aim of the conference is to bring together OVs from across the country and to deliver cutting-edge Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with 12 hours of certified training over the two-days. The latest developments and thinking relevant to all the OV qualifications will be discussed.
All OVs will be asked to revalidate their knowledge on a regular basis and a key component of this revalidation is undertaking CPD relevant to the different areas of OV work. There have been significant developments in disease control methods and export processes over the last few years and this conference will provide important, practical knowledge that OVs can take back into their practices.
With simultaneous streams – focused on large animals, equine, and small animals – delegates will be able to listen to industry experts deliver up to date and practical lectures which will have a positive impact on their work as an OV. Ranging from eradicating TB, to exporting a parrot, there really is relevant content for everyone.
All of these lectures will also count towards your CPD hours.
Held in an informal and relaxing venue, delegates will be able to interact and network with each other and with industry representatives and exhibitors during these two days.
There’s also dinner and entertainment on the Thursday night so plenty of time to relax too!
So in a nutshell:
-
The only OV conference in the country
-
Meet your fellow OVs
-
Gain CPD hours
-
Benefit from a relaxing and refreshing environment
