This conference is for anyone involved in ensuring that the Asian consumers are receiving the safest poultry meat of the highest quality that complies with the last rules and regulations. We will use recognised experts to give you the latest insight into this important subject. The programme follows a logical sequence on the key subjects of antibiotic resistance and biosecurity.
This conference is focusing on how the topical subjects of the day – Antimicrobial resistance and Biosecurity – impact your poultry operation in 2017 via Consumer pressure and then provides you with the ways of improving your operation so it can be seen in a positive light by customer and consumers.
Biosecurity
There is much more to biosecurity to putting a fence around the farm and a guard on your gate! Biosecurity can be viewed at different levels – country, region, farm, house and bird – we will focus on the last three and highlight some of the recent developments that keep diseases away from your birds and make the bird better able to withstand a disease challenge should a biosecurity lapse have occurred at house or farm level.
Antimicrobial Resistance
A complex subject which at best has been over zealously, and at worst incorrectly, reported to the general public via the media. This key aspect of modern poultry production will be considered in some detail and in view of the fact that major customers have and are reacting by saying ‘No antibiotics in poultry production if you want to supply us’, we will look at alternative strategies for the control of diseases that we previously treated with antibiotics.
