WPSA Brazilian Branch and FACTA.
The Brazilian Branch of WPSA and FACTA (APINCO Foundation of Poultry Science and Technology) work together for the dissemination of science and technology in the Brazilian poultry industry.
Since their foundation, these two bodies have organized 62 events, where many international and Brazilian speakers from the academic and commercial sectors approached issues related to poultry production, ranging from cutting-edge research to simple management techniques and macroeconomics, attracting more than 20,000 participants.
As a result of this success, WPSA-BR and FACTA have obtained the support of more than 200 Brazilian and international companies, as well as of research and extension government agencies.
Special events are scheduled for this celebration at the World Poultry Congress in Brazil.
The WPSA board is inviting all institutions, either academic or industry, WPSA branches, individual members, to prepare an e-poster that will be on display on a large TV screen at the WPC2012 and provided to all delegates on a CD.
Guidelines
Centennial posters are expected to illustrate a major event in the history of WPSA and/or major changes that occurred in science or industry during a century of existence of the association. These posters are not intended to present current research results and should provide a historical view on science, industry and education in the poultry sector.
Only a single PowerPoint slide, with no animation, will be accepted for one poster. Set poster dimensions to 'on screen show' with dimensions of 16 inches/units wide and 9 inches/units high.
• Title: name of institution(s), author(s) (at least 24 point) and an e-mail address
• Text: extensive text is discouraged (at least 14 point)
