Organising this Symposium is one of the major activities of Working Group No. 2 (Nutrition) of the European Federation of WPSA. With its unique format, the European Symposium is a popular, successful series and provides an international forum for the discussion and exchange of ideas, on all aspects related to poultry nutrition. Plenary sessions are mixed with intense group discussions, creating a stimulating atmosphere through melting science and industry. A presentation area for companies will be available and arranged together with the poster presentation and coffee break area, thus further stimulating multiple contacting.
This Symposium follows the previous eighteen symposia, the first of which was held in Denmark in 1977 and the most recent of which was held in Çeşme, Turkey, in 2011 and attended by about 700 delegates from academia, research, industry and government.
The 19th European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition will take place in Potsdam, the capital city of Brandenburg. Potsdam combines a long-lasting history in a unique cultural landscape with the scientific and economic dynamics of the Berlin metropolitan area. Many exiting places in and around Potsdam are worth a visit.
