For the first time in the history of our Society an ISAH Congress is taking place in Poland, which has been a member of the European Union since May 2004.

The International Society for Animal Hygiene (ISAH) was founded in 1970 and the first Congress took place in 1973 in Budapest. The last ISAH Congress took place in 2003 in Mexico City.

Our Society has great traditions. ISAH specializes in the fields of animal health and veterinary public health in particular in relation to their interaction with the environment. This is why the main motto as well as the theme of our Congress is “Animals and Environment”.

Sbjects of the Congress embrace all nowadays problems and issues concerning maintaining animal health, as the production of healthy and safe food as well as animals welfare. The subjects of the Congress will be interesting not only for veterinarians but also for breeders, farmers, biologists and other people working in agricultural practice.

You are invited to take part in the Congress. The venue of the congress will be The Warsaw Agricultural University Campus located in the Ursynow district in south Warsaw, Poland.

* Herd-health management as a tool for improving health and production of livestock.
* Environmental protection and public health in respect to animal hygiene.
* Animal welfare as an integral part of sustainable animal production.
