Pre-symposium Workshop

14:30-20:00 Tuesday 19th May 2009 (15:15-20:00 h).

Title: “Physiological basis of voluntary feed intake in swine. Pre and post-absorptive regulation”

The workshop will be a half-day seminar offering an update on feed intake regulation in pigs through a few of the global experts on the matter. The Workshop will include a program with disciplines such as peripheral sensing, gut-born intermediary messengers or central mechanisms orchestrating voluntary feed intake. Delegates attending the workshop will be provided a book with the presentations of the workshop. This book will be completed with additional chapters by other authors, who have accepted to write about other very relevant topics such as the effects of genetics, environment, feed manufacturing, or pig behaviour, etc… on feed intake in pigs.

To register to the workshop please use the symposium´s on-line registration form.
