China International Exhibition Center
Halls 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
Beijing - China
Looking back at the recently held successful 2004 event, we are happy to announce the dates of the next edition of VIV China: Wednesday 27 until Friday 29 September, 2006. VIV China 2006 will take place in Beijing.
China is the world´s largest producer of pork and poultry products. With a growing middle class, there is a high demand for quality meats, Western style cuts, frozen foods, ready to eat cuts and prepared meats. And you can be at the center of it all by participating in the 2006 exhibition.
VIV China 2006 will mark as VIV´s fourth exhibition in China, having previously organised three successful trade exhibitions. Set to attract exhibitors and visitors from around the globe, this event is one not to be missed.
Consumer attitude and behavior towards food is rapidly changing on a worldwide scale. There is a strong focus on health issues including healthier food. The demand for convenience food products, in smaller ready-to-eat portions, is on the rise. Consequently, the importance of delivering fresh and safe meat products with an extended shelf life is increasing. Packaging is becoming more important in the selling process; fresh foods should be conveniently packaged and easy to store.
Animal production and processing is facing a difficult time. After mad cow, classical swine and avian influenza, consumers are sceptical and want guarantees about the meats they eat. Meat safety can only be guaranteed if every step in the meat production chain is carefully monitored and controlled.
To stay current with these developments, today´s meat business is about improving:
•yield
•quality
•hygiene
•traceability
•portioning
•performance
•profitability
•efficiency
•transparency
Meat producing and – (further) processing companies adapt and impove their production processes to meet the demands. International food quality institutions developed standards for quality assurance and secured traceability. The trend is towards systems that cover the entire food chain from primary production to finished products: from feed to meat. And that´s where VIV comes in.
VIV China: from Feed to Meat
In its role as the nation's platform on animal production and meat processing, VIV China showcases the industry's developments by the Feed to Meat concept. Feed to meat brings together supply and demand within the complete animal protein chain. The driver behind the chain concept is that animal feed and animal health are vital for meat quality and safety. VIV China wil represent every step in the meat production process. Related topics will be featured in the VIV China Conference.
Next to the VIV China conference, that will be held simultaneously with VIV China 2006, a new event will take place 1 day before the show: the VIV CEO seminar: East meets West during this event through which western vision and technology is presented to the top of the Chinese industry.
Why exhibit
China's economic development firmly marches on. Its meat production and consumption show inpressive growth figures, outgrowing worldwide figures. The global trend towards food safety is also recognised in China. Meat producing companies increase their production performance - consequently, there is an increasing demand for production process improvements resulting in safe and high quality products. China has much on offer to international investors. Many already found their way into the country.
