Information

There are three reasons why you should go to IPVS 2012 as below:

Comprehensive scientific programme
We will design a comprehensive and substantive scientific program with renowned speakers coming from throughout the academic world of veterinarians and researchers from all around the globe. Tom Alexander Memorial Lecture will lead off the scientific programme of IPVS 2012 after the opening ceremony, like IPVS 2010. As you know, Tom Alexander was a founding member of the IPVS Congress who tried his best to make the congress grow in the five continents around the world, so the Memorial Lecture is a perfect start for IPVS 2012. The scientific programme will follow with the highest quality keynote lectures, concurrent oral sessions, poster sessions, and industrial partner symposia. It will provide an opportunity to dig deeper into research and open new perspectives for not only the participants but also the swine industry and the veterinary field in general.

Special programmes for participants and family
Jeju is a world-class resort island situated off the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula. Scenic beaches, waterfalls, cliffs, and caves lie in harmony, and the mild weather makes Jeju an even more ideal tourist destination. Moreover the government declared Jeju Island as Korea''s most representative area and an ‘Island of the World Peace''.

In addition, Jeju Island has been officially designated as an ‘International Free City'' where the exchange of human and material resources and culture is given extensive freedom. We will arrange various tour programmes for participants to have a delightful experience in the beautiful and peaceful island of Jeju. Pre and Post Congress Tours and Half-day Jeju City Tours will be planned, which will allow participants to experience the unique cultural heritage of the island with their family.

Excellent conference facilities
Jeju is one of the favorite convention cities of Korea thanks to its plentiful experience and proven ability to successfully host international meetings. Since its opening in March 2003, the International Convention Center Jeju (ICC Jeju) has attracted major corporate, academic, and political leaders to its doorsteps. ICC Jeju, occupying seven stories above ground, is located within the Jungmun Tourist Complex, with the cobalt-blue Northern Pacific stretching to the south and towering Mt. Halla commanding the north. Artfully merging the blessed tourist resources around it with the functionality of a convention facility, this resort-style convention center is fully equipped for hosting IPVS 2012. Its excellent infrastructure including accommodations and state-of-the-art equipments and facilities will ensure great memories for the participants of IPVS 2012.

The information of IPVS 2012 will be published on an ongoing basis. Thank you for continuing to take a keen interest in IPVS 2012.
