On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee of China, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the 25th International Pig Veterinary Society Congress (IPVS 2018) and 2018 International PRRS Symposium, which will be held in Chongqing, China from June 11 to June 14, 2018.

China is the biggest country of pig farming and pork consumption in the world, with sharing more than 60% of inventory of pig and half of pork output of world total. Pork is the most favorite meat of the Chinese people, with 63% in total meat consumption in China. Hence, it is very important to create a stable, sustainable environment for swine industry development, with fighting to swine epidemics, surging cost price, food safety crisis and farm slurry pollution etc. The swine epidemics are not only the challenge to Chinese pig industry, but the global issue also. So, we invite all members and delegates of IPVS to join us, to be united, to find out solutions swine diseases, and to help producers making profit by our efforts. We believe that IPVS 2018 and IPRRS Symposium will be the scientific feast on swine veterinary medicine for all delegates working on swine industry.

Chongqing is an attractive city to visit, with a long history of over 3,000 years, which is located in the southeast of Sichuan Basin, at the joint of two rivers, the Yangtze and the Jialing River with beautiful mountain and river sceneries. It is also one of the important pig production areas in China.
