5th international trade fair for FOODTECHNOLOGY

Since its start in 1997, FoodTech Scandinavia has achieved a position as one of the top five among European general trade fairs aimed at the foodstuffs industry. In Northern Europe it is the unchallenged leader.

This position has been reached through dedicated development efforts, close cooperation with the relevant trade organisations, research institutions, companies and individuals plus a concept that creates value for our customers and their customers.

Our aim has been that every single FoodTech fair has something new to offer. The fifth fair will be no exception.

PharmaTech and GMP

At FoodTech Scandinavia 2005 a new section will be introduced to present process equipment for the pharmaceutical industry. In close connection with this, we shall be focussing on GMP.

Concentrating on safety

FoodTech Scandinavia will give a central role to matters of food safety. Thus, as a supplement to the presentation of new products, the many visitors will be able to participate in conferences centred on hygiene, traceability and quality control as well as the associated systems for supervision, checking and documentation.

A large number of these systems have already been implemented in the pharmaceutical industry and are now being increasingly seen in the foodstuffs industry.

An important venue for the foodstuffs trade

Denmark is one of the world´s leading exporters of foodstuffs. This position has been achieved by concentrating on the safety as well as the quality of Danish foodstuffs, helped by constant product development in the trade. This leading position must be maintained and preferably further developed through innovation. For foodstuffs safety, environmental friendly packaging and efficient production methods presuppose research into, and the application of, new technologies.

FoodTech Scandinavia has developed into the leading trade fair in Northern Europe for the foodstuffs industry and has become an important venue for members of the foodstuffs trade from home and abroad.

Consumers demand high quality food whilst also expecting respect for animal welfare, the environment and the way food is produced and packaged. The future of the foodstuffs industry depends on consumers having a high level of trust in food safety, no matter where or how products are prepared before being sold by the butcher, fishmonger or supermarket.

We are therefore glad that FoodTech Scandinavia 2005 is focussing on food safety through conferences on hygiene, traceability and quality control.

Welcome to FoodTech Scandinavia 2005 – now with PharmaTech!
