China International Exhibition Centre
Peking - China
The concept of AgriChina with a professional technical exhibition supplemented by conferences, forums and an excursion was assessed most positively by exhibitors and visitors alike. In changing the venue from Shanghai to Peking the organizers have consistently implemented suggestions and wishes expressed by the exhibitors. The decision-makers from the large farms in the north of China , representatives from industry and politics in Peking and international visitors from Asia can be optimally reached at the location in Peking.
Exhibition profile
AgriChina is designed as a professional platform for business and technique communication on agriculture, livestock & poultry and horticulture. AgriChina 2006 comprises three segaments: Exhibition, Technology Forum and Excursions. The wide ranging exhibition program is tailed to the requirements of the Chinese market.
In last edition, AgriChina attracted professional exhibitors from ten nations including the big names such as John Deere , CLAAS , Shanghai New Holland and China Yituo Group. 7% percent of the visitors came from abroad. These professional visitors are distributors, dealers, buyer delegations, government delegations and experts. Most of them are from the main agricultural provinces of China. As agriculture plays a predominant role in the Chinese economy, agriChina is definitely geared to the needs of the Chinese Market.
AgriChina is divided into three major components:
1. A specialist exhibition, representing the backbone of AgriChina. Geared specially to the needs of the Chinese market, the display sectors include technologies for fertilizing, plant protection and irrigation, harvesting machinery, harvest processing, conditioning and storage, tractors, special tractors and transport technology, livestock husbandry and livestock management for poultry, pigs, beef and dairy cattle with animal breeding, animal husbandry, animal nutrition and animal health, processing and marketing, fruit and vegetable growing with crop husbandry technology, greenhouse cultivation, harvesting machinery, processing, packing and conservation.
2. The second key component is the Technology Forum, where experts come together to discuss current industry trends and fresh solutions to meet the challenges of the future. Key topics include livestock management, new developments in greenhouse design and the latest irrigation techniques. The forum is conceived as a platform for swapping ideas and building networks between Europe and Asia.
3. The third component consists of organized tours to agricultural enterprises in northern China, where participants can establish personal contact and lay the basis for successful business partnerships.
Chinese agriculture represents a gigantic market: 9.57 million square kilometers of agricultural land (around 3.7 billion square miles) are available to serve the needs of the country''s 1.3 billion citizens. But China also contributes to meeting global food needs: 42 percent of the world''s vegetable production, for example, comes from China. Increasingly, Chinese farmers are turning to sustainable methods, resulting in an enhanced demand for state-of-the-art technologies and management tools.
China''s desire for efficient, yet sustainable agricultural methods and progressive mechanization drives have turned Chinese agriculture into a particularly dynamic market. China''s accession to the World Trade Organization and the partial opening of its markets have resulted in a sharp stimulus for agriculture as in nearly all other sectors as well. The Chinese government plans to sustain this dynamic, and has made the modernization of agriculture a target of its current Five-Year Plan, which also emphasizes the need to cooperate with international enterprises.
AgriChina represents an ideal platform for achieving these goals. It brings together international enterprises and Chinese managers and decision-makers responsible for the country''s agricultural investment, technology, cooperative ventures and consulting, simultaneously promoting the forging of business partnerships in the process. Last year''s successful debut of AgriChina yielded some impressive statistics: more than 70 enterprises from 10 different nations presented their products geared specifically to the Chinese market, drawing over 4,500 visitors, including a gratifyingly high number from other key Asian agro-markets.
Thanks to the renewed support of the relevant Chinese associations, AgriChina 2006 is again guaranteed to achieve good market penetration. AgriChina''s partners in 2006 include the China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CAAMM) and DMAG subsidiary Hannover Fairs China.
