The 8th edition of the European Workshop on Equine Nutrition (EWEN) which will take place in Dijon, France, on June 16-18, 2016
The founding aims of the workshop remain to bring together:

European and international equine nutrition scientists, to promote information and foster innovation;

Not only scientists but also technical specialists (practitioners, the horse industry, etc.) to facilitate scientific and technological transfer.
It appeared logical to entitle EWEN 2016 "Taste, Nutrition and Health of the Horse" in reference to the competencies supported by the local Vitagora industry cluster. A special focus will be offered on gut microbiology and its relation to health, welfare and performance. And Dijon being a world leading center in taste and sensory sciences, EWEN will also present an innovative approach to horse feeding preferences.
Once again, the scientific program will be put together by the board of experts. The organization will be carried out locally by AgroSup Dijon, in association with Lab To Field and Vitagora.
In addition to the scientific round-up, EWEN 2016 will give you a chance to discover the region’s highlights: visit France’s only experimental stud dedicated for research in equine nutrition or experience some of Burgundy’s famous vineyards, now recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site.
