Processing. Marketing. • THE MOST UP-TO-DATE DAIRY EQUIPMENT • FORAGE HARVESTING AND FEEDING EQUIPMENT • WORKING DEMONSTRATIONS OF STRAW CHOPPERS / BEDDERS AND CUBICLE BEDDERS • ADVANCED FORAGE FEEDING & HUSBANDRY TECHNIQUES • INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY This year's Event sees the integration of the National Forage Maize Days which includes all aspects of the growing, harvesting and ensiling of forage maize, maize grain and forage crops. This is a joint initiative in collaboration with the Maize Growers Association and CEDAR, University of Reading. The MILKMADE exhibition - an area dedicated to milk processing technology and marketing developments is set to expand this year to meet the demand from farmers looking to add value to milk and dairy products. The very successful working demonstration of complete diet feeder wagons held last year will be repeated, giving visitors the rare opportunity to see and compare all the leading makes of machines under one roof. Of course, the traditional Event attractions have not been neglected. Once again, we will have an excellent programme of Spotlight on Profit Forums, reflecting some of the most important issues facing the dairy farming industry. Building on the substantial overseas interest in the Dairy Event, we have also organised a comprehensive programme to attract foreign visitors. This will be run in conjunction with the International Agriculture and Technology Centre to help British companies and British farmers establish new export trade links. The initiative to expand livestock classes last year resulted in a 50% increase in the number of cattle exhibitors. The Event will continue to provide a wonderful chance for our breeders to show off the high quality of British livestock and be rewarded with increased prize money. Event visitors will also be able to enjoy many competitions and special prizes offered by the hundreds of exhibitors as well as regular contests, such as the Dairy Event Pentathlon and the finals of the National Young Farmers Clubs' stock judging.
