A top quality trade show
To date, we have received 1,223 registrations from exhibitors, the same as at this stage in 2013; of which 363 international companies from 31 different countries.
The strong response from exhibitors illustrates the importance they attach to SPACE as a top quality trade show where they can make contact with a large number of customers, potential customers and users of their equipment or products. Suppliers to the livestock industry continue to support SPACE with enthusiasm, enabling the Show to maintain its position as the 2nd largest animal production show in the world.
A show that combines local interest with a national reach and international trade development
The number of foreign visitors has increased regularly, with 12,298 international visitors coming from 110 countries in 2013. One of the main characteristics of the international visitors of SPACE is that visitors come from a large number of different countries from all over the world, a feature that is particularly appreciated by the exhibitors.
This strong foreign presence shows that SPACE is still becoming better known throughout the world (58% of exhibitors in 2013 considered that SPACE was an effective means for expanding their business abroad).
Innovations, debates, research and development
New products from exhibitors will again be highlighted by operation Innov'Space, which is always a great success among exhibitors (who consider it a powerful means of promoting products they are presenting for the first time) as well as visitors (who are always looking for improved technology and profitability in their businesses).
This is also the aim of Research and Development Village, whose theme this year is "work design". The aim is to strengthen the extent to which "work" is taken into account in farmers' business strategy, encouraging them to review the organisation of their farms to improve the balance between productivity, well-being and working conditions.
This constant aim for innovation and modernisation is also reflected in the many and varied conferences and seminars organised during SPACE.
The best bloodlines
This Breed Show will again present the advances in animal breeding by the introduction of genomics. For the first time, there will be an auction of various breeds (Limousin, Normande, Brune, Pie Rouge and Prim'Holstein).
And, as every year, 600 cattle of 13 different breeds and 200 sheep and goats of 10 different breeds will pass through the Main ring during the 4 days of the Show.
