The Organizing Committee feels privileged to invite you to the 4th IDF International Mastitis Conference to be held in Maastricht, The Netherlands from 12 - 15 June 2005. Held only once every 10 years, this conference is regarded as the worldwide event for exchanging research results, knowledge and ideas in the industry. Given the high attendance levels, this conference is one of the key events organized by the International Dairy Federation.

More than 80 world-renowned speakers will address the audience. Testament to the enormous growth in current developments, 11 concurrent, cutting-edge scientific sessions will be offered. With such variety and quality, choosing sessions will be a challenge for participants from all disciplines.

Organized by The Netherlands National Committee of the International Dairy Federation under the auspices of the International Dairy Federation, the conference will provide an opportunity for scientists, veterinarians, policy makers and extension specialists from the dairy industry as well as dairy farm consultants to meet and exchange the latest research findings in the field of mastitis and mastitis-related issues such as milk quality and farm management. Supported by the Dutch Dairy Board, the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and the National Mastitis Council (NMC), this gathering will also provide ample opportunities for participants to meet socially and share views in a relaxed environment.

Since 1975, every 10 years the International Dairy Federation (IDF) organizes the International Mastitis Conference. This conference is regarded as the worldwide event allowing the exchange of fundamental and applied research results and knowledge in the field of mastitis and mastitis-related issues, such as milk quality and farm management. An important characteristic of the conference is its high level and broad angle of presentations. A meeting between fundamental research, applied research, trade and practice.
