The 2018 Global Conference on Sustainable Beef offers a four-day conference agenda packed with sustainable beef action from more than ten different regions around the world!

The speaker line-up includes leaders from national sustainable beef roundtables, beef producers, scientists, and leading organizations. Leaders will share insights around recent research, pilot programs, on-the-ground experiences driving continuous improvement across the beef value chain and will address areas like:
  • Cattle health innovations driving improvements in production efficiency and advancements impacting critical issues like antimicrobial resistance.
  • Sustainable beef roundtable development experiences and lessons learned establishing and growing multi-stakeholder, sustainability focused organizations of all sizes. Hear from representatives from the oldest sustainable beef roundtable, GTPS (Brazil) who’s been formally working in this space for more than ten years, all the way through to the those who are doing the work in newly developing roundtables in areas like Argentina, Europe and Southern Africa.
  • Best practices and pitfalls learned designing, developing and implementing unique of beef schemes, evaluation tools and verification programs around the world, including recent insights from the Canadian Roundtable’s new sustainable beef verification program launch and the development of the United States Roundtable’s voluntary Sustainability Assessment Guides.
  • The economics of sustainability, including conversations that address questions like: What are the costs of sustainability? How does sustainability pay around the globe? What financially focused sustainability trends are on the horizon?
