As leading European forum for livestock professionals, the SOMMET DE L'ELEVAGE is one of the largest international trade shows specialising in livestock production.
Fully dedicated to the professional sector, the show is hosting 1,200 exhibitors, 380 of whom come from abroad, and 76,000 trade visitors, including 2,500 from 60 countries.
Located in the heart of the Massif Central Region, The European cradle of the beef breeding industry, the SOMMET DE L'ELEVAGE provides an exceptional showcase for the French livestock industry, exhibiting some 1,900 livestock animals of high genetic value.
In 2010, the SOMMET will host the national Charolais competition, with 500 of the breed's best specimens on show.
The three days will be packed with livestock showings, business meetings, technological innovation competition («Les Sommets d'Or»), VIP visits and top-level conferences and seminars, all held in the fun-filled, convivial atmosphere that is a trademark feature of the show.

Attracted by the outstanding quality of the livestock showings and the diversity of the sales offer, 76,000 professional visitors, including 2,500 international from over 60 countries, are expected to attend the SOMMET 2010.
International Business Club ADEPTA, the International Business Club functions as both a reception area and a business club. Over three days, foreign visitors can enjoy a customised welcome and a dedicated programme that includes visits to breeding farms and technology units, presentations of livestock genetics, organisation of business meetings, etc.

Conferences, seminars and trade sector meetings are rolled out over 3 days at the exhibition park's conference centre.
The participation of agricultural managers and policymakers ensures the SOMMET's status as a remarkable international platform while businesses, specialist organisations and exhibitors meet to discuss current key issues such as animal health, renewable energies, professional training, etc.
