Facing the challenges of today’s pelleting processes : multifactorial resistance of Actisaf® Sc 47 HR+ new generation.
Description
Actisaf® Sc 47 HR+ is a concentrate of live yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae processed in a microspherule form (Lesaffre proprietary strain: NCYC Sc 47 / CNCM I-4407).
This unique patented Actisaf® Sc 47 micro-spherule form has been developed to deliver unsurpassed intrinsic thermoresistance, without the need for any foreign material coating.
Actisaf® Sc 47 HR+ new generation is designed to withstand the main stress factors encountered by the yeast probiotic during pelleting process :
- Compression & friction
- Heat
- Humidity
- Compatibility with acids in the feed formula comes as the 4th constraint taken into consideration in this multifactorial approach.
Actisaf® Sc 47 HR+ new generation : from heat resistance to multifactorial resistance
As no feed mill is the same and no process is identical, throughout the years Phileo accumulated extensive feed technology expertise. Since all these different constraints have to be considered globally and not individually, we are focusing on new indicators, which are closer to the real pelleting constraints and take into account the interactions between process parameters:
- Specific Thermal Energy
- Specific Mechanical Energy
- Contact time in mash feed
Feed tech Service is a complete service to support feed manufacturers
To support customers facing the challenges of today’s production processes, dedicated Phileo R&D teams together with a network of industry experts led to the creation of Feed tech Service. Feed tech Service gives customers a clear view of the multifactorial resistance of Actisaf® yeast probiotic in the feed under their given pelleting conditions.
Meta data analysis of more than 2000 feed analyses done on an annual basis are the backbone of a newly developed numerical platform. This digital platform gathers the already existing Phileo expertise in feed technology, with the target to share it with the customers and help them develop their activity.
