EXHIBITORS AND EXPOSITIONS
Over 1,300 exhibitors from 21 countries presented their offers on the Poznań trade fair grounds (Austria, Belgium, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine).
890 companies presented their offers at POLAGRA-FARM. 108 exhibitors showcased their offers in the pavilions of the National Horticultural Exhibition and over 350 exhibitors of the 20th Jubilee National Animal Breeding Exhibition presented almost 2,000 animals. The exhibitors presented as many as 180 new offers.
The exposition area is growing gradually: last year it reached almost 13.5 hectares, including 32,568 m2 on the PIF grounds and 10,000 m2 in Szreniawa where POLAGRA SHOW, a presentation of machines working on the field, was held.
VISITORS
In the last venue, POLAGRA-FARM was visited by over 85,000 attendees. Visitors from all over Poland entered the fair grounds. It is worth mentioning that the fair was also visited by organised groups – farmers came to the fair in as many as 200 coaches. POLAGRA-FARM was also visited by future professionals – as many as 25 groups of pupils from secondary technical schools came to see the exhibitions. There were also many foreign visitors interested in the offers of Polish producers and intending to learn about the potential of the Polish agriculture. POLAGRA-FARM was also much interesting to the media – there were over 400 accredited journalists.
SCOPE AND EVENTS
As in the previous year, the organisers decided, for the convenience of exhibitors and visitors, to divide the exposition into four thematic parts: FIELD, BREEDING, GARDEN AND FORESTRY, and RURAL DEVELOPMENT.
• FIELD
This part of the exhibition will include agricultural machinery and devices, seeds, fertilizers and crop protection chemicals. The exhibitors´ stands are located in Pavilions 3 and 3a.
Additionally, agricultural machines will be exhibited on the open grounds. Pavilion 5 will feature offers of agricultural plant seeds, fertilizers and crop protection chemicals.
150 exhibitors of Polagra-Farm presented a rich offer of agricultural machinery and spare parts. 20 exhibitors presented as many as 44 new products. Those interested in practical applications were invited to participate in POLAGRA-SHOW, i.e. a show of agricultural machines held in Szreniawa on 8-9 October. The 4TH FORUM OF GRAIN PRODUCERS devoted to rape, maize and cereal growing was also very popular.
• BREEDING
The BREEDING exposition held in Pavilion 15b will feature products of companies manufacturing and selling devices used in animal breeding and veterinary practice. Poultry farming equipment, pig-breeding equipment, cattle-breeding equipment, animal breeding material, different feed types will be presented.
Many visitors were attracted by pavilions with almost two thousand animals presented by 350 exhibitors at the 20th Jubilee National Animal Breeding Exhibition and by the French national pavilion presenting achievements of the French husbandry, genetics and breeding technology. Individual forums held as part of the 7th Agricultural Forum were also popular. They were devoted to breeding and veterinary problems. Stands of over 80 companies presenting equipment for animal facilities and expositions of over 30 companies specialising in genetics and veterinary issues were frequently visited. Producers of animal feedstuffs presented their offers. The exposition also included stands with machinery and devices for the production of feedstuffs.
• GARDEN AND FORESTRY
This part of the Fair, housed in Pavilion 5, will include exhibitions related to floriculture, fruit and vegetable growing, nurseries, seed production, gardening tools, greenhouses and polytunnels, auxiliary cultivation material, irrigation equipment, fertilizers and pesticides.
Participants of this edition of POLAGRA-FARM will will represent the following sectors:

• fruit and vegetable sorting and packing
• modern systems of fruit and vegetable packing
Visitors interested in horticulture, fruit farming and nurseries were not disappointed. Approx. 100 exhibitors presented a special offer of devices for the sector. Poland´s largest National Horticultural Exhibition attracted as many as 108 leading plant producers. Approx. 50 fruit farmers and nurserymen participated in an exhibition entitled Horti Logistyka, while flower lovers admired arrangements prepared in the 4th Polish Florist Championships held under the lead theme: “The fascinating fairytale world” to celebrate the 200th of birth of Hans Christian Andersen.The FORESTRY FORUM was held for the second time. Its major themes were: Forest as a social good and Timber as a renewable source of energy.
• RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Polish rural areas have a great opportunity for development thanks to the EU subsidies that increase every year. Polish farms will still develop thanks to the funding. An exposition devoted to the development of rural areas will be located in Pavilions 8, 8A and 10. It will include presentations of districts and municipalities, offers of Agricultural Advisory Centres and agrotourism farms, as well as presentations of local products.
