It is the vision of Export Africa to establish a primary export trading hub for the entire African continent and to provide a platform to facilitate faster economic growth and development.
Export Africa 2006 is focused on export, import and investment promotion, and aims to assist in addressing trade imbalances by showcasing Africa to Africa!
Export Africa offers all African traders the opportunity to exhibit their products and services to an audience of global buyers and investors, and to conclude meaningful business transactions at a world class trade event.
Whilst the facilitation and growth of export trade between Africa countries and the world cannot be underestimated, the continent competes with markets such as China, India, Brazil and others, a reality which cannot be ignored. In order for Africa to become globally competitive, Africa needs to research these markets and develop new trade strategies in order to find new opportunities and to compete effectively.
In 2006, Export Africa will host an Import Promotion Hall for countries to showcase products and services to the African marketplace. The strictest guidelines will be put in place to qualify the promotion of foreign goods and services, for which there is a demand in Africa. Foreign countries participating will host an import and investment promotion booth at Export Africa to facilitate the development of two-way trade. Of the 23 foreign countries that visited Export Africa 2005, 11 were countries from Asia, showing a strong interest in this region to trade with Africa.
