Agri-Business Show 2009, January 16th - January 18th 2009.
The most comprehensive Agriculture Exhibition to be held in Kerala and will have a special focus to cover all segments of Organic Agriculture, Horticulture & Floriculture. The main aim of this focus pavilion is to promote and develop these sectors and related trade by disseminating information and knowledge in organic farming, horticulture, floriculture and marketing to farmers, small farmer groups, processors, traders, NGOs, development organizations and other interested parties.
The show will also focus on developing farm entrepreneurship, farm mechanization, nodal organic farm display, processing units and technology development.
- To create a synthesis platform that would share current trends in cultivation,
agri-business, production and productivity, and developments in agriculture
technology
- To discuss research outcomes in new areas and the prospects of promoting
agri-business in order to ensure sustainable agriculture.
- To provide a platform for agri-business enterprises to showcase their
success stories and encase best practices.
- To create a forum for farmers and NGOs to learn, understand and assimilate
new trends in agriculture research technology development, and
opportunities in agri-business to facilitate sustainable cultivation.
- To facilitate and provide global technology and service providers an
opportunity to identify local partnerships

A large number of Keralites are engaged in some form of agriculture related activity. Yet, Kerala''s agriculture scene is not well organized as in other states. We have identified the business potentian of Kerala''s farm based industries sector. This Expo will help Keralites to view the farm as an enterprise and farmer an enterpreneur.
