AVISULAT 2008 – The South Brazilian Conference on Poultry, Pig Meat, and Dairy Products Industry – Equipment, Service and Technology Trade Fair – will be held November 19-21, 2008. The concerned sectors aim at keeping in full operation and maintenance the volumes of production and sales of poultry, pig meat, and dairy products.

The Event will be held at Bento Gonçalves´ Exhibition Center (FundaParque), in the Rio Grande do Sul highlands. Business people, technicians, producers and representatives of many other related businesses will attend the event.



The conference program will include panels and lectures addressing important topics for the poultry, pig meat, and dairy products industry. In addition to the program, which will deal with technical, scientific and market subjects, the event will also host an equipment, service, and technology trade fair where the participation of exhibitors will be of fundamental importance to all concerned sectors, which have been expecting an event like this in Rio Grande do Sul State (RS) for a long time.

AVISULAT 2008 will be a milestone in the poultry, pig meat, and dairy products industry, as it will put under the spotlight sectors of extreme importance to Brazilian Agribusiness that play a key role in the country´s social and economic scene and serve Brazil´s domestic market and also several foreign countries.

Many visitors from RS, from other Brazilian states, and from foreign countries are expected to attend the event, which will address major topics regarding several stages of the production chain, including the participation of small and micro businesses that are part of the production process of the segments involved in AVISULAT 2008.

 AVISULAT2008 aims to consolidate a major event to be held every two years in Rio Grande do Sul. The event is aimed at the Poultry Farming, Pig Farming and Dairying industry. In addition, it allows participants to discuss topics and subjects of great interest to the related sectors.

     Another purpose is to add to the event key features that explore topics and subjects of great interest to the sectors and that, on certain occasions, stay out of traditional events.



 EXPECTED RESULTS:

  • Promote the development and management of the Poultry Farming, Pig Farming and Dairying production chains, encouraging the search for new concepts and technologies in Brazil and abroad, and generate information and knowledge about these segments, highlighting their economic and social importance, as well as their importance in producing essential foods rich in nutrients and vitamins for human beings;
  • Allow technical directors, business people, researchers, producers and other professionals in the sector to meet for business contacts and exchange information and experiences;
  • Disseminate new technologies, processes and procedures of particular interest to the development, integration and innovation of the different links in the Production Chain: producers, transporters, industry, distributors and supermarkets all the way down to consumers;
  • Establish a channel for the exchange of professional information among the different countries in Latin America and Brazilian states;
  • Make it possible for sector-related professionals to become aware of new markets, allowing Family Production Units, small and medium-sized companies, and cooperatives to gain access to production technologies and processes.

     Companies representing Brazil´s poultry farming, pig farming and dairying production chains, as well as producers, researchers, scientists, professors, Department of Agriculture and Cattle-Raising, Department of Social Development, Department of Land Development, Offices of Agriculture, business people, directors, suppliers, professionals, small family producers, cooperatives and other people interested in the topics in question.

    According to the attached plan, where a special area for this type of participation has already been reserved.

    Exhibitors will have the opportunity to contact and close business deals with the buyers invited to visit the event, during the Rounds of Business Talks. Small family concerns will have the opportunity to participate in the event with their products and services.
  • Business Trade Fair
    Equipment, machinery, services and new technologies.
  • Panels
    In addition to lectures, during the event the scientific community will be able to present projects in detail, showing the latest research results related to the approached topics.
  • Scientific Articles
    All scientific articles will form part of a CD-ROM that will be edited by the organizers, dealing with the following topics: agriculture, milk, human health, industrialization and sale of milk. The articles will be presented by means of posters, at a time yet to be set, and there will be no oral presentation of the summaries.
