Excellent work done, several points clarified, the importance of ADA well explained, oils come with a negative attribute, the rancidity, high FFA content, that affect the birds performance, to counter adding of antioxidants adds to expenses and interfere with birds metabolism. Continue the good work, in the interest of the poultry industry.

Dear Ms. Valentine et al. A very nice study, validating previous experiments reported that confirmed maintenance of performance whilst reducing costs. Energy is invariably the most expensive nutrient in least cost rationing, so any tool available will help to improve profitability. I am particularly interested also in the impact GAA has on reducing oxidative stress, by improving mitochondrial efficiency and therefore potential electron leakage, leading to excess ROS generation.

Indeed, very good work and a very comprehensive study, documenting the effects and potential of AGA. Otherwise, one may wonder if an energy correction of 75.0 kcal/kg ME is not too ambitious? From the performance table on LBW and FCR, we see that the AGA group is bridging only about half of the gap between the negative and positive control. FCR are 1.62b; 1.68a and 1.65ab, respectively. Maybe an energy matrix value of 30-35 kcal might be more prudent?
