Poultry Litter Gasification

Does anybody have experience in poultry litter gasification for the generation of electrical energy? Any supplier that has equipment already installed? What are the pros and cons? What is biochar?

Thanks!

your best bet is a biogas plant where you feed the plant with the litter. You can read a lot about it online and on youtube.

Hello!
We are building, in Romania, a 3MWe co-generation gasification power plant. We use a rotary gasifier which is very suitable for a large type of biomass.
But the heart of the power plant is the PARS filter. PARS means Plasma Assisted Reforming Scrubber. It is a cold plasma filter who is able to increase the gas quality by over 20%.
It is a very good solution.
The biomass consumption is 0.88kg/kWe.
Using 1kg of biomass we can obtain 1.13kWe + 1.69kWth.

This is our experience.

Best regards,
Cristian
