Challenges in the reduction of antibiotics in Brazil and other countries

Breno Beirão (Universidade Federal do Paraná, Brazil) commented on the needs of farmers in order to make a successful transition and comply with the current demands of the industry, during IPVS2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Excellent interview. Congratulations! In a short space of time, the interviewee touched on several points needed to be developed. The abyssal differences in antimicrobial (AMC) use in poultry and swine production must undoubtedly be taken into account. But... large companies and large cooperatives all operate in both segments. Why is the approach so different in the production chain? Another point that needs to be discussed is the lack of reliable data on the use of AMC in animal production in Latin American countries. We don't have anything like MARAN (Netherlands) or DANMAP (Denmark), to start a more serious monitoring work. It is up to veterinarians to have as much decision-making power as nutritionists in the Companies, who seek exclusively zootechnical results, at any cost. I hope that ESG principles start to be more important in companies.
Most problems is reduction of antibiotics
GP problem most company did not replace your flocks
Due to cost off they molt your folcks and they supply
Farmer old flocks chicks which GP used already allot antibiotics
Farmer Can not flock’s with out antibiotics
