Liquid aluminum chloride can be added to swine manure at most types of production facilities. This may occur in the pit inside the production facility or in a retention pond or lagoon. What are the environmental impacts of added equal molar weight (Al:P) aluminum on ground aluminum levels and potential aluminum content of grains and forages grown on this soil? Would we not then be concerned about Al toxicity in the soil?
