Easy-immune® farm trial report

Cordyceps militaris is a rare and exotic Chinese medicinal mushroom. Its chemical composition and pharmacological effects are similar to Cordyceps sinensis. Cordyceps sinensis is widely used as a tonic for vitality and longevity for thousands of years by the Chinese. Cordyceps militaris has also been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years.

Easy-immune contains cordycepin and polysaccharides from Cordyceps as a natural immunity booster. Cordycepin can disturb virus replication by competitive binding due to its nucleoside analog structure. The Cordyceps polysaccharides can stimulate immune cells and increase the non-specific immunity in animals, so Easy-immune can provide the necessary support to animals under intensive farming to fight against the pathogen and environmental pressure. Also, Easy-immune® has many positive results in poultry, swine, and shrimp farming.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of Easy-immune® in sow reproductive performance as Post-disease care.

Location: Northern Taiwan

Farm scale: 600 sows

The sows in production were infected with PRRSV, resulting in a high abortion rate (up to 50%). After 6 months of recovery, the general reproductive performance is unsatisfying. The piglets were weak and the survival rate at weaned was 85%.

• Prefarrowing (10 days) period in sows feed: Easy-immune® 4 kg/ton of feed
• Lactation period in sows feed: Easy-immune® 2 kg/ton of feed

The piglets look healthier and stronger. After treatment, the weaned piglet/piglet survival rate was improved to 96.5%.
