Phytogenics Recognised as Safe and Effective by European Union
Published:February 24, 2012
Summary
FRESTA®F, the world's first and only proven phytogenic zootechnical feed additive, is approved for use by the EU. The EU announced Feb 15 the registration of FRESTA®F , manufactured by DELACON BIOTECHNIK, as an approved zootechnical feed additive under Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003.
FRESTA®F was approved after an exacting safety, quality and efficacy evaluation by the Europe...
I'm very happy that a first phytogenic (=plant derived) feed additive is approved as zootechnical additive due to its clear concept, quality and efficacy! This should motivate all serious producers to follow this line: when quality and efficacy are given, there is no need to remain at the 'flavouring' level only! Acceptance, credibility and seriosity of 'phytogenics' - as we created this term end of the 1980ies - would significantly be strenghtened.
Congratulation to the team of DELACON and Mr. Dedl himself!
