Rudra Desai Subclinical hypocalcemia is a serious problem as more than 50-60 % of cows has been found to suffer from this disease. The methods used so far, mainly the DCAD methods as well as intensive use of calcium bolus, has not been able to eliminate this diseases. X-Zelit is a new way to attack this challenge and we are impressed that it possible to see so clear positive effect on the reproduction. After 150 days, 30 % of the control group were not pregnant whereas in the X-Zelit group only 10 % were non-pregnant. This show that low calcium at calving negatively influence the production of the animal in the whole lactation.
