Thank you very much Sir.
You have given an excellent scientific information about role of sugar in animal feeds. It may interest you to know that it is a common practice among professional sellers of Cows to start feeding sugar sweetened water to their cows that they want to sell. This temporarily brings out enhanced milk production and make the cow appear a higher milk producer. This fetches better market price for an ordinary cow. The customer not knowing about feeding the cows sweetened water, find that his new cow has gone back to its regular lower milk production, when fed on in cow feeds, ends up with a feeling of being cheated.
It will be interesting to find out about the long term feeding of sweetened water to cows and work out the economics.
It is however claimed that better quality of cattle feed water brings about perceptible increase in milk production of cows. Even Vedas mention that cows should be fed on such waters that even human would relish.
