Mr Brian

Thank You for sharing

The cost of Replacement dairy heifers is also important because of assessment turn over ratio. The impact of paying too much for a Heifer is important when we see a lot of farmers' lack of money.
One should think:
if want to raise heifers untill calving better do it well
if not, better to buy outside controling this way its maxim cost.
Maxim cost of a replacement weifer can be calculated if one have in mind the number of lactations in Herd.
The more lactations the productive animal achieve the more it pays in return is cost.

Having high milk yield cows generally means more replacement heifers needs for your dairy farm if you don't have perfectly feed and managed herd. Because high mil yield lessen longer life and adds more stress on animal and have negative effect on cow's immune system.
The higher replacement rate the costlier enterprise capital and the less profit in highly competitive milk market.
