SAINT CHARLES, MO (January 3, 2023) – Minerals will be the main topic of conversation for global animal health and nutrition supplier Novus International, Inc., during the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) in 2023.
Novus is sharing new research on MINTREX® bis-chelated trace minerals from January 24-26, 2023 during IPPE at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta in the U.S.
“Mintrex is more than your traditional organic trace mineral,” says Gonzalo Prat, Novus senior managing director of the Americas. “It’s the only organic trace mineral featuring an intelligent, stable delivery structure that optimizes bioavailability and absorption to support performance and profitability by using fewer trace minerals.”
Novus will be discussing new research that demonstrates the solution’s effectiveness in poultry.
Here’s a look at Novus activities at IPPE 2023
International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF)
Held in conjunction with the Expo, IPSF is a highly scientific two-day event sponsored by the Southern Poultry Science Society, the Southern Conference on Avian Diseases, and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.
Novus Senior Structure and Function Manager Dr. Juxing Chen will share new research on these topics during two presentations at the event:
  • Maternal supplementation of trace mineral minerals on breeder production and progeny growth and health
  • Maternal supplementation of different levels of bis-chelated trace minerals on reproductive performance of broiler breeder and growth performance of progeny subjected to coccidia challenge
Research on epigenetics, sometimes referred to as maternal feeding or maternal nutrition, shows how nutrients in the diet of hens can improve egg quality as well as alter gene expression in the progeny, ultimately improving immunity and overall performance. Dr. Chen will discuss how Novus solutions optimize fertility, eggshell strength, and egg production based on commercial trials.
The schedule for ISPF is to be determined. Visit IPSF for updates.
TECHTalks
During his TECHTalk, Novus Executive Manager of Global Poultry Solutions Dr. Hugo Romero will discuss copper availability globally and what nutritionists and producers can do now to minimize the impact on their operations. Dr. Romero’s TECHTalk titled, Copper Crisis? What You Can Do to Prepare, will take place at 12:30 p.m. EST on January 25 in Hall B, Booth 8675.
Novus Booth
IPPE attendees can discuss MINTREX® and Novus’s other solutions with company representatives at the Novus booth, #8139 in Hall B.
Novus will also host its Happy Hour at the Booth starting at 4:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, January 24. The much-anticipated Novus Cocktail Party will begin at 5:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, January 25 at The Atrium in The Omni Hotel at the CNN Center, just steps from the IPPE trade show. All Expo participants are welcome to attend both free events.
