Innovad® acquires natural extract company Eco Treasures

Antwerp, Belgium (June 8, 2020) – Innovad®, global supplier of animal health and nutrition solutions, announces the acquisition of Eco Treasures, an innovative company specialized in the extraction of natural raw materials and Eco-friendly processes.

The purchase of Eco Treasures, based in Belgium, fits in the company’s commitment to sustainability. “In today’s environment, sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions or re-use of natural resources is a commitment towards future generations, and key to our future success ” stated Jamal Al Saifi, founder and CEO of Innovad®.

Eco Treasures was established in 2006 by a group of chemical engineers headed by Kris Schatteman as eco sustainable technological nucleus. Its core knowledge and experience lies in supercritical CO2 extraction; a green extraction technology without even traces of any organic solvents that is exceptionally well suited to extract molecules with high added value from natural resources directed primarily to pharmaceutical API applications and cosmetics.

Over the years, the company specialized in the valorization of organic secondary streams from other industries and in the production of fruit seed oils and products originating from the same feedstock, such as fruit powders and press cake flour.
