ICC Brazil introduces three new solutions for poultry at OVUM 2019

ICC Brazil will introduce solutions focused on animal welfare, intestinal integrity and uniformity of chicks at OVUM 2019 – 26th Latin American Poultry Conference, which will take place in Lima, Peru, on October 9-11.

ICC Brazil, a pioneering company in the production of innovative solutions for animal nutrition based on yeast, has been participating in the event for years. The conference takes place every two years, always in a Latin American country. “These events are really important, as they give us the opportunity to see old clients and suppliers and meet new business partners in Latin America. Also, we use the event to promote our news for the industry,” says Ricardo Toledo, Latam Sales Manager. At the event, Toledo expects to see greater concern from customers and partners about solutions that help promote the health and integrity of poultry.

At their booth, ICC Brazil will introduce ImmunoWall®, which is made of a high number of β-glucans and MOS. This ensures that animals keep the balance of intestinal microbiota and improve their immune system response, resulting in less contamination by pathogens. Consequently, animal welfare and performance are significantly better. Studies carried out showed that supplementing the animal diet with ImmunoWall® reduces Salmonella enteritidis contamination in hens, and consequently in their eggs, by 90%.

The results of using Hilyses® will also be presented. Hilyses® is a source of nucleotides and free nucleosides that are rapidly absorbed by the body; they also help to strengthen the chicks' immune system and to promote more efficient and uniform growth. “This is an industry concern that generates many extra costs for the farm, from working with additional handling to disposing of chicks that do not reach the ideal minimum weight. There are several problems that affect batch uniformity. Hilyses® is one of the tools to assist reducing uniformity issues, in a natural and consistent manner, for different scenarios,” explains Toledo.

Another product introduced at our booth is Liposorb®, an emulsifier that helps not only animals digest the lipids (fats) in the feed, but also the machinery that produces the feed, thus optimizing mill’s efficiency, producing more uniform and better quality pellets.
