The 7th International Conference on Colonic Spirochaetal Infections in Animals and Humans will be held in Hannover, Germany, on October 6-7. The Leonardo Hotel will be the venue for this conference.

Combined keynote (30-40 minutes split into two presentations): David Burch, Octagon Sevices Ltd., UK – Spirochetal infections in poultry and Désirée Jansson, University of Uppsala, Uppsala, Sweden – Brachyspira species in wild birds: epidemiological implications.

Session 3: Role of Treponemes in Pigs and Cattle.

Keynote (30 minutes): Stuart Carter, University of Liverpool, Liverpool, UK – Attempting to control the spread of digital dermatitis treponemes in farm and wildlife species.

Session 5: Diagnosis and Control of Brachyspira Infections.
Chairperson: Jill Thomson, Scottish Agricultural College, Veterinary Services, Edinburgh, UK.
Keynote (30 minutes): Maxime Mahu, University of Ghent, Gent, Belgium – Swine dysentery: vaccination and alternative treatment.

Round Table Discussion (60 minutes): Harmonization of Diagnostic Procedures and Susceptibility Testing.
