Premium mycotoxin management and mitigating product: Globafix Plus

Published: July 16, 2018
Source : Global Nutrition
Mycotoxins may cause various toxic effects or mycotoxicosis. Symptoms caused by mycotoxin contamination depend on the level and type of mycotoxins, but also on the several factors such as animal species, sex, environment and nutritional status. Additionally the multi - mycotoxins contamination even at low levels may result in chronic toxicity that produces elevated negative effects on performance and immune system.
Among 400 known mycotoxins, Zearalenone, Ochratoxin, Fumonisins and Deoxynivalenol (Vomitoxin) are the most often reported mycotoxins in swine feed.
Zearalenone is the most common mycotoxin implicated in reproductive failure in pig, it may reduce conception rates, increase splaylegged piglets and in certain severe cases cause embryonic loss.
Some recent studies have shown also that other fusarium mycotoxins like DON and T2 negatively impact immune-response and gut health in animal.
Unlike polar mycotoxins, zearalenone, deoxynivalenol has been difficult to mitigate and control with traditional binding agents.
For the past 15 years, Global Nutrition has researched to develop the ideal mycotoxin management and mitigating program. Starting with Globafix in 2003, it now introduces Globafix Plus, its premium mycotoxin management and mitigating product. Thanks to the synergistic activities of a unique montromorillonite, a select yeast cell wall and pyrrolized vegetal carbon, Globafix Plus has been shown to effectively bind ZEA and DON both in vitro and in-vivo. It has been shown to reduce ZEA and DON accumulation in blood and tissues of animals fed with mycotoxin contaminated feed. More than just binding a range of mycotoxins, it has proven to have the depths of effects as well.

Hello Norbert. But, here in Nigeria, I have been working with a product that contains activated charcoal for years without any negative result.

Dear Sir,
We Don't have any experience regarding the use of our charcoal in ruminants; the main applications are poultry (broilers mainly) and swine. Which effects did you observe with bamboo charcoal in dairy cows?
Regards,
Jonathan

Dear sir

My thesis was effect of pyrolysed bamboo charcoal on rumen fermentation and received some interesting results. How would you think that apply pyrolysed charcoal in ruminant diet?

Pyrrolized vegetal carbon, is this activated charcoal? In this case, the risk for unspecific binding of vitamins is very high.

Would like to have an offer, recommended dosage and techno-economic benefits to a breeder.

This is limited businesses in India, yet, there's one breeder where I can introduce.

Do you have any such product for layers?
