Pancosma is proud to organize the 5th edition of the Pancosma Worldwide Scientific Exchange (PWSE) from 3 – 4 February 2016. The only event of its kind in the feed additives industry, the PWSE gathers renowned scientists in the field of animal physiology from all over the globe, to discuss the latest advances in animal health and nutrition. It creates a unique opportunity for Pancosma to exchange innovative ideas with their partners in the field, and major key accounts from the feed industry.
The 5th edition of the PWSE series, organized and chaired by Dr. David Bravo, Research Director at Pancosma, is entitled “The 21st century animal nutritionist: the master of non-nutrition.” Following the revolutionary concept of Gut Effects promoted as Intelligent Gut Action, first developed by the Swiss feed additives company, Pancosma has yet again pioneered a novel concept in animal nutrition – the role of non-nutrition as the future of animal nutrition. A group of 60 eminent scientists as well as major actors of the feed industry, who are customers and close partners of Pancosma, have been invited to this exclusive event.

Spread over two days, the PWSE will be opened by Daniel Kofel, former Pancosma CEO. The meeting will continue with scientific presentations divided into 3 sessions entitled: 1) Altering the gut ecosystem: new target, new ways; 2) Phytonutrients as functional additives: removing the foo-foo, the dust, and the black box; and 3) Making sense of gut sensing. Dr. Goetz Gotterbarm, Pancosma CEO, will conclude the discussions.
The 5th edition of the PWSE is scheduled to take place in the picturesque city of Luzern, in the German-speaking region of Switzerland, the country where Pancosma was founded in 1947, and where it maintains its headquarters. Luzern was chosen as the host city for its spectacular sights, along the shores of Lake Luzern, also known as der Vierwaldstättersee, with a view to Mount Pilatus and Rigi in the famed Swiss Alps. The distinguished scientists invited to attend this year’s PWSE will congregate in this charming Swiss city at the Montana Art Deco Hotel, where the rooms and conference centre have a magnificent view to the lake, the city centre of Luzern and the Alps. The scientifically stimulating meeting will conclude on 4 February, just in time for the city’s main event of the year, the Luzern Carnival.
