First of all thank you very much for the congratulations for these 30 years solving the problems of mycotoxins.

As everyone knows the topic of mycotoxins is a topic that I am passionate about and we have much to learn. I hope to be another 20 or 30 years more to be able to contribute my grain of sand on this subject..

Here are some of the answers to the questions ask in the forum:

What is best toxin binder for mycotoxins?

You have to differentiate:
products that only reduce the secondary effects caused by mycotoxins -therefore may improve some productivity or immunity parameters-
vs. products that have scientific in vivo prove with statistical significance of Target Organ Protection (T.O.P.) of the mycotoxins been tested. If a product has T.O.P. it will also improve productivity parameters and immunity parameters. and there for cam be called a Anti-Mycotoxins Additive.

Plz share paper on Ca Bentonite Vs HSCAS

I must confess that I was one of the persons involved in creating the fame or myth of word HSCAS.

The word HSCAS and the word CLAY is basically the same word because all clays contain Sodium, Calcium, Aluminum and Silica.

In 1987 when the first mycotoxin binder was launched the product was a montmorillonite a type of bentonite.

When looking at the list of ingredients approved by the FDA (GRAS list) montmorillonite was not there but HSCAS was. This is why HSCAS became famous word if montmorillonite would have been in the list we would be using this word.

The most critical thing about clays is that there are no two clays alike every clay of every mine is totally diferent. Clay is like saying Humans, Bentonite is like saying asian or european or american.

The questions is: are there two same asians or europeans or americans? No . The same happens with clays there are not two alike.

One of the most critical mistakes that the feed industry is making is when comparing DOSAGE of products

Scientific proven dosage with TOP vs. commercial dosage.

The usage of a product below the scientific proven dosage is a decision that has to be made by the nutritionist or technical person not by the manufacturer.

If two product have TOP but one at 2.5 Kg and the other at 7.0 kg Which is more cost effective based on the same price?

That changes when the buyer instead of looking at the scientific dosage only looks at the COMMERCIALLY recommended dosage. This happens to a 7.0 kg T.O.P. product recommends only 1 kilos. The buyer will love this product due to cost BUT will it work at that dosage? Most probably the effect will be the same as using 1 kilo of SAND.

Mycotoxins and their effects on the fish and shrimp health?

Fish and shrimp are extremely sensitive to mycotoxins more than poultry, swine or cattle.
Please contact me directly at ft3@specialnutrients.com and I will be glad of sending you very detail information

Thank you again to all of you

Dear Dr. Tamames,
There is a paradigm of some professionals that sequesters are best not to use in ruminants because it is a species quite resistant to the mycotoxins and in addition that the sequestrants absorb minerals, especially calcium and phosphorus.
What would be a dose for this to happen, if that was the case?
Thank you very much.

Thank you Dear Dr. Fernando Tamames III for you contribution to mycotoxin research for 30 years. I would like to state that I have also formulated two mycotoxin binders namely Mycodetox B1 and Mycodetox B2. Both the binders were tested in chickens, quails and turkeys and it was found that both binders alleviated/ameliorated the adverse effects of aflatoxicosis in tested species.
